to teach. Her smile is infectious. She is developing into a
confident leader.

Joined Upendo in 2017. Lawrence is a very intelligent boy. His school grades were very high, giving him the privilege to attend a very good government school.

Joined Upendo in 2014. For Magadalina, education has been a challenge, but she doesn’t give up. She has a twin who has stayed with us for five years.

has sadly passed away, and her father could not care for
his two girls.

Her first year in school, she was the best student, and

Tiffness is very tall girl, making it hard to find properly fitting clothes for her. She loves to sing by herself, and with her choir. Details of her family are unknown.

Joined Upendo in 2014. We call her Queen Victoria. She is a hard worker, loves to help, and gets along with everyone. She had lived with her grandmother who has passed.

Joined Upendo in 2013. Jonah is his twin brother. Joseph is a mechanic. Like his brother, he has the best sense of humor, even understanding American jokes which often do not translate well.

Joined Upendo in 2015. Dominic desires to serve and be a pastor someday. His uncle could not provide for them, and both his parents have passed.

Joined Upendo in 2019. Emanuel has a very kind demeanor about him as seen in his photograph. He joined Upendo together with both of his sisters.

She has a drive for success, and wants to be a nurse.

tries hard, and loves to cook. Both her mother and father have
passed away.

Joined Upendo in 2017. Ibu is bright and loves math. She thrives on competition and activities. Both her parents and grandmother have passed.

would be a great teacher. Her mother could not care for her
and her siblings.

Moniece is quiet and likes to cook. She has adjusted well
to living with us at Upendo. Sadly, any details about her
family are unknown.

Joined Upendo in 2014. Richard is quiet, and a good role mode for others. He is dependable and academically gifted. His mother has passed, and his father is mentally ill.

Joined Upendo in 2019. Mary works hard at school. She greatly values her education. She came to Upendo with her brother and sister.

Joined Upendo in 2019. Nicolas has been a very happy and grateful boy. Unfortunately, his father and step-mother were neglecting him.

Joined Upendo in 2016. Malika had to fight hard, and through that has become a happy well-adjusted young lady. Her mother has sadly passed away.

Joined Upendo in 2012. Fwsani has made great progress in school and socially. Grandparents could not care for him after both parents passed.

Happy’s mother was deaf and brought her two boys, cold and hungry to Upendo. Well he is the happiest boy we’ve ever met. Always has a smile even when he’s sick.

Joined Upendo in 2019. Anna loves to read. She is very outgoing, and always dresses nicely. She came to us along with her older brother and sister.

Joined Upendo in 2015. Bless is smart, a deep thinker, and desires to please. The government put him in the best local school, which is an honor.

William is very intelligent. He learns quickly, and get’s along with everyone. William’s mother could not care for him or his two other siblings.
